Responsible disclosure

Discovered a vulnerability? Please let us know as soon as possible.

At PI, we consider the security of our systems very important. Despite our care for the security of our systems, it is possible that a weak spot may still exist.

If you have found a vulnerability in one of our systems, we would like to hear from you so that we can take measures as quickly as possible. We would like to work together with you to better protect our clients and our systems.

We ask you to

  • e-mail your findings to it@pi.nl;
  • not abuse the problem, for example by downloading more data than is necessary to demonstrate the leak, or by viewing, deleting or modifying data of third parties;
  • not share the problem with others until it has been resolved, and to delete all confidential data obtained through the leak immediately after the leak has been closed;
  • not use attacks on physical security, social engineering, distributed denial of service, spam or third-party applications; and
  • provide sufficient information to reproduce the problem, so that we can resolve it as quickly as possible. Usually the IP address or URL of the affected system and a description of the vulnerability are sufficient, but more complex vulnerabilities may require more.

What we promise

  • We will respond to your report within 3 days with our assessment of the report and an expected date for a resolution;
  • If you have complied with the conditions above, we will not take any legal action against you regarding the report;
  • We will treat your report confidentially and will not share your personal data with third parties without your permission, unless this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation. Reporting under a pseudonym is possible;
  • We will keep you informed of the progress in resolving the problem;
  • In any communication about the reported problem, we will mention your name as the discoverer, if you wish; and
  • As a thank you for your help, we offer a reward for every report of a security problem that was not yet known to us. We determine the size of the reward based on the severity of the leak and the quality of the report.

We aim to resolve all problems as quickly as possible, and we would like to be involved in any publication about the problem after it has been resolved.
